Padre Pio and Holy Angels

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

In an address to American pilgrims on October 3, 1958, Pope Pius XII spoke eloquently of the holy angels and said, “The angels are glorious, pure and splendid. They have been given to us as companions along the way of life. They have the task of watching over you all, so that you do not stray away from Christ, your Lord.”

Pope John Paul II emphasized the important role of angels when he gave six General Audiences in Rome from July 9 to August 20, 1986 entitled “Angels Participate in the History of Salvation.” In his catechesis on the holy angels, Pope John Paul II expressed the hope that all people would come to the realization of the reality of angels. In January of 2009, Pope Benedict XVI stated, “In the face of the challenges of our times and the tribulations which every individual experiences in his life, it is salutary to recall the powerful help and solicitous guidance of the holy angels who work together for the benefit of us all.”

Among the angelic beings, the role of the guardian angel is one of great importance. The Church teaches that the special work of the guardian angel is to guide an individual on his journey toward God and to protect him from harm during his earthly pilgrimage. The Church celebrates the feast of the Guardian Angels each year on October 2.

Padre Pio had an especially tender love and devotion for his guardian angel. From the time that he was five years old, he was able to see and converse with his guardian angel. In his childlike simplicity, he assumed that everyone had the same experience. Enjoying an intimate friendship with his angel, Padre Pio referred to him as the “companion of my childhood.” The loving relationship continued throughout Padre Pio’s life. For Padre Pio, his angel was his support, his protector, his teacher, his brother, and his friend. At times, Padre Pio’s guardian angel acted as his secretary as well as his heavenly “postman” carrying messages to his spiritual children.

Padre Pio’s guardian angel awakened him in the morning, and together they would join in prayer and praise to God. Padre Pio wrote to Father Agostino:

“Again at night when I close my eyes, the veil is lifted and I see Paradise open up before me; and gladdened by this vision I sleep with a smile of sweet beatitude on my lips and a perfectly tranquil countenance, waiting for the little companion of my childhood to come to waken me, so that we may sing together the morning praises to the Beloved of our hearts.” (Letters 1)

Church’s narrative on St. Francis of Assisi

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Francis was born at Assisi in Umbria, and, after his father’s example, followed from his youth a mercantile career. One day, contrary to his custom, he repulsed a poor man who begged an alms of him for Christ’s sake; but, immediately repenting of what he had done, he bestowed a large bounty upon the beggar, and at the same time made a promise to God, never to refuse an alms to any one that asked him. After this he fell into a serious illness; and on his recovery, devoted himself more eagerly than ever to works of charity, making such rapid progress in this virtue, that, desirous of attaining evangelical perfection, he gave all he had to the poor. His father, angered at his proceedings, brought Francis before the bishop of Assisi, that, in his presence, he might formally renounce all claim to his patrimony. The saint gave up all to his father, even stripping off his garments, that he might, he said, for the future, have more right to say: Our Father who art in Heaven.

After hear one day this passage of the Gospel: Do not possess gold nor silver, nor money in your purses; nor scrip for your journey, nor two coats, nor shoes, he took it for his rule of life, laid aside his shoes and kept but one tunic. He gathered together twelve disciples and founded the Order of Minors. In the year of our salvation 1209 he went to Rome, to obtain the confirmation of his rule and Order from the apostolic See. Pope Innocent III at first refused to see him; but having in sleep beheld the man he had repulsed supporting with his shoulders the Lateran basilica which was threatening to fall, he had him sought out and brought to him; and receiving him kindly confirmed the whole system of his institute. Francis then sent his brethren into every part of the world to preach the Gospel. He himself, desirous of an opportunity of martyrdom, sailed into Syria; but the Soldan treated him most kindly; so that, unable to gain his end, he returned into Italy.

He built many convents of his Order; and then retired into solitude on Mount Alvernia; where he fasted forty days in honour of the Archangel St. Michael. On the feast of the Exaltation of the holy Cross, he had a vision of a seraph bearing between his wings the figure of the Crucified, who impressed the sacred stigmata on his hands and feet and side. St. Bonaventure says he heard Pope Alexander IV, while preaching, relate how he had himself seen thse wounds. These signs of Christ’s exceeding love for his servant excited universal wonder and admiration. Two years later, Francis grew very ill, and was carried, at his own request, into the church of St. Mary of the angels; that he might give up his mortal life to God, in the very place where he had commenced his life of grace. There, after exhorting the brethren to poverty and patience, and the preservation of the faith of the holy Roman Church, he said the psalm: I cried to the Lord with my voice. When he reached the verse: The just wait for me, until thou reward me, he breathed forth his soul, on the fourth of the Nones of October. He was renowned for miracles; and Pope Gregory IX enrolled him among the saints.

vanity of the people who have had “near-death” experience

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

Many people today desire a better world, a world without suffering, and a world filled with fantastical possibilities. With some few exceptions, they are willing to have it all, without any effort to obtain these riches and happiness through pain and trials. Instant satisfaction and instant gratification. Isn’t it any different from the encounter of “near-death” experiences with people who have seen things that are whimsical, euphoric, and too unrealistic? What is so unrealistic about it all, you may ask?

Well, the idea of work, of merit, of deserving something you have to put effort into to achieve and obtain by possession. I think we have lost that on the natural level and have superimposed that upon the spiritual world beyond any comparison we have had in the past with returning-from-the-grave accounts.

Imagine that for a moment. That someone or unseen force, or even a projection of a distressful nervous system and brain, can make us feel and desire, experience, a make-belief that does not have any precedence, foundation or principle in the economy of salvation, or with the trial of virtue and vice in redemption history, or in relations to the participation in the Passion of Christ.

People are not made or created in effect for pleasure and happiness that is purely of the natural level. But we must assume such reality with these so-called “near-death” experiences that do not give us any spiritual value or insight into the practice of virtue in the Christian Faith. There is no emphasis of losing one’s soul to the darkness and abyss of hell. As if it is natural and normal, the usual thing to go from having an ordinary good life to a more realistic life of vanity and euphoric existence.

This is New Age and consequently a New Gospel. It is devoid of Christian spirituality. From recorded history, prior to the popularization of near-death experience, people have come back to tell of the dire consequence of rejection of God and to make of atonement for sins, they actually desire to live better lives. We see not from these ”near-death” experiencers. But even if we do see a change in lifestyle, it is more of the same false hope and assurance that they will experience the same fantasy of unimaginable delight!

Beware, the Devil himself is very cunning with many deceptions today! He doesn’t people to change their lives in conformity with the Gospel, but rather he wants people to have false sense of security of happiness in this life and in the next!

God Tells a Story

Many years ago, before Christ was born, God often spoke to mankind through holy men called prophets. Many of the things He said are now contained in the Holy Bible. One of these prophets was Ezechiel. In the sixteenth chapter of his book of prophecies he tells us a story about a baby girl who had been abandoned by her mother and left to die by the wayside. Fortunately, a great king was passing by and, seeing the baby he had pity on her; carrying her home he took care of her and brought her up like a princess. And when she had grown up he made her his own bride and queen.

God does not tell stories in the Bible to amuse people, but to teach them spiritual lessons. Many of these stories mean something different besides what they actually say. We call them allegories or parables. Jesus often used such stories to explain His teachings. Thus, in the story related by Ezechiel, God is actually telling us how He took care of, protected, and glorified the city of Jerusalem and the Hebrew people. For, the baby girl in the story is Jerusalem and the king is God Himself.

The story, with God Himself as narrator, reads in part as follows: “And passing by thee, I saw that thou wast trodden under foot in thy own blood, and I said to thee…: Live… And I washed thee with water, and cleansed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil. And I clothed thee with embroidery, and shod thee with violet-colored shoes; and I girded thee with fine garments. I decked thee also with ornaments, and put bracelets on thy hands, and a chain about thy neck. And I put a jewel upon thy forehead and earrings in thy ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head. And thou wast adorned with gold and silver, and wast clothed with fine linen, and embroidered work, and many colors. Thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil, and wast made exceeding beautiful, and wast advanced to be a queen. And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty, for thou wast perfect through my beauty, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.”

the reign of the anti-Pope, and the triumph of false compassion

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

In this glorious Church, mercy holds the highest status in the order of truth. All things must tend toward it, as it is the very soul of our ecumenism with every aberrant person and religious view. Truth is relevant to this modern man insofar as the mercy of God is emphasized over His justice, as the very impetus toward unity and catholicity of all peoples.

We are to love the sinner and hate the sin, as the popular saying goes. Sin today is an abstract idea, that which is not conducive to the temporal welfare of society. Admit the sinner and downplay the effects of sin. Do not offend the person of any type of aberration, be it of deep-seated lifestyle. We don’t teach the justice of a revengeful God, but a form of justice compelled by peace and solidarity toward a common goal. It is to be a socio-religious form of behavior for this Church that we are building. Reverse the order of every institution for the welfare man, be it the institution of marriage or civil order. Even the divine precepts of faith must show charity toward the common good of man.

I reject condemnation and I lift anathematization of previous councils. Today we must work with people of different religious background, even the Lutherans in joint declaration, for the raising of this one ecumenical church.

The time has come that religious relations among all peoples become the very spirit of our messiah, who is returning. The Jews do not wait in vain, for we must now enter their temples and pray for the coming of the messiah, awaited by many other believers.

God no longer sees spiritual differences, in the baptized and the unbaptized, the just and the reprobates, as we are part of one greater spiritual communion of mankind, even though some with an imperfect communion that tends toward full unity. Teach new forms of communion and baptism of desire for people who, traditionally, would not be considered Christians or having any form of faith in Jesus Christ or the Christian Creed. It is not their fault that they don’t know God or the Church, so how can God condemn them to hell? It is being blameless that is justification.

Teach partial communion in Christ’s Church, as I am with the Orthodox and the all Christian believers of whatever denomination. Today, religion is not based of dogmatic principles held by dead men, let the dead bury the dead, but are reformable according to historical circumstances. Heresy cannot be imputed on the children of heretics, or so called.

All religions lead to God, one way or another, that is why I request that you send out my delegation to meet with these spiritual communities all over the world. Teach that God desires we all learn to pray with one another in order to ensure peace and progress in spiritual life among men. The presence of religious traditions is the source of enrichment for all.

It is most expedient that religious liberty be enshrined on the constitution of every ordered society. It is firmly established on the dignity of the human person, rooted in his human nature. It is a moral right given by God. Have no doubt about it. It is to be a moral right in every society. Respect other religious views.

the New Order of an anti-Pope, and the co-existence of heretics and the faithful.

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

The old category of heresy is no use for us.

The time has come that the Church should embrace both liberals and conservatives, modernists and traditionalists, heretics and the faithful. I desire compassion, not rigidity. On my authority, let local ordinaries give permission for the churches and seminaries to destroy all the pre-conciliar books, dogmatic manuals, and theological works which contain teachings against this new communion of the Church.

Today, we no longer see heretics as the enemies of Christ, but as a driving force to be reckoned with. We want greater unity in the Church, instead of division. Division never solves anything, as the former Church failed to understand that. The opportunity of reconciliation with departed brethren of different factions of the Christian faith should be our main focus today.

I want the teaching that public heretics are not members of the Church to be struck out! Teach that once elected to positions of authority in the Church, clerics can never lose office unless judgment has been given by the Church.

This is a human institution, which has a legal process for all acclaimed officials! The old idea of divine faith to be superseded by this new vision of faith which is unstoppable by God himself! Divine faith has evolved with the dignity of man, as enshrined on our altars!

I am absolutely ruler in the Church, and the old category of faith is subject to my discretion! I will punish those who hold to it.

The old idea of conversion or what is called ‘the ecumenism of the return’ should be rejected by all. No, we don’t want Christians, and non-Christians, who come to us to feel like they have nothing to offer to the Church! Of course they do! Their richness of faith and tradition, their religious identity offer to the Church many aspects and qualities that make up the Church of God.

Write a new Law, and publish a new ecumenical directory, which will rid all teachings that are opposed to our ecumenical effort with all religions.

Give to the Church new catechisms, new devotions, new discipline, all diversified as the many flowers in the field. Give the laity more rights in the Church. Start up diocesan committees to help write this new outlook of ours. For my infallibility extends to all who do good in the name of the Church.

the rise of the New Order of an anti-Pope, and the destruction of the old order.

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

At my command all things shall be made anew, as scriptures have said. I desire the Mass be conformable to the Protestant Calvinist Mass, strike out all the references that are overtly Catholic. Destroy the Canon, rewrite the rubrics to the liturgy, make it into a communal meal so that the sharing of a meal between friends should hold a prominent place over the idea of Sacrifice.

It is our goal to erase from memory the idea of a divine faith, which is supposed to be supernatural, which can only be held by a supernatural belief of the former, already passed. Force it down the throats of our new faithful that the Catholic Faith is the absolutely obedience to the Pope, whatever he decides is best for the Church, make them lose heart and fear for their damnation if they depart from this Holy See of ours. Give them a role to play in this “reform of the reform”, to make  them feel important, make them feel that they are doing something good against evil, as if the Church is being run by them, for I am at the forefront of all reforms.

My plan is for all them to march behind my banner of orthodoxy in legitimate diversity, one and the same rite, but various expressions.

I speak now to my brethren in the episcopate. Isn’t it within my power to reform all the sacraments of the Church so that they be expressed in the modern language of man? It is within my authority to loose and bind these things, as I see fit to do just that, to give new and appropriate expressions to appeal to the sentiments of man. We’ll keep just those formulas that are found in scriptures, lest the Protestants should scandalized in us for the rashness in completely altering the words of the Lord.

It is wise that I should not directly influence the destruction of the churches, lest some of the faithful be scandalized in me. However, I will allow legitimate changes called forth by the council, to be determined by various local ordinaries, which most of you have taken over by now with your hidden agenda from our master. I will not dispute your various judgments, with this solidarity of ours to reform the external of all the churches worldwide. I wish you all to share my sentiments on the role of the Church in being a poor and a servant to all men of good will.

Begin to share your churches with our separated brethren and those of non-Christian faiths. Our God is one, and He desires different expressions of faith through various means of religious traditions. The seeds of truth are found in every religion, and we it is our goal to make them realized before all men.

In the league of an evil anti-Pope, and the rise of religious liberty.

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

I will wield my power for the world to see. My staff of oversight is to extend to all religious men, regardless of greed; and my rod will be the scourge for Catholics who are one-sided in their beliefs by calling into question my league of all religious men.

Make it known that God now desires for all men to have the right to religious liberty. It is expedient that we should enshrined this doctrine. It is to be religiously observed by all the faithful, until the time comes when our messiah should be adored by all men in this new religion.

Stress the importance of the dignity of man. All human rights are derived from the virtue of being man, in so far as he is practicing these rights within due limits– or else we would be preaching insurrection of society. The old faith has failed to recognize the status of this crowning achievement, the highest evolutionary stage of all that is being, of man. His consciousness is forever affected by new settings and environment, which have become ever diversified with the existence of different religious views. Make religious liberty as the fundamental human liberty, without it man is not capable of process in society. Teach that the presence of all religions is a source of enrichment for man’s spiritual evolution. This is the basis for our new supernatural selection, as the people of God.

In dealing with the Christian denominations, teach a new model of unity– that is “unity in diversity, and diversity in unity”. This is the true meaning of the word catholic. The old idea of catholic should be discarded. Let the dead bury the dead, and the old idea of catholic will buried with them. They are of no use to us. Our idea for this new church is the incorporation of all religions. Make the Protestants feel that they will not compromise when they are in communion with us. Communion is two-fold, perfect and imperfect; partial and full communion. They should keep their religious tradition. Their experience will help us shape new policies for the diversity of liturgy in the church. However, the Protestants are defective in many ways and they are to be called ecclesial communities.

In dealing with the Orthodox, do not demand the idea of primacy as a necessary requirement to be in communion with us. They are particular churches because of the likeness to us. When they celebrate the Eucharist, the Church of Christ becomes present and operative in these elements of sanctification and truths.

the reign of an evil anti-pope, and the rise of the Novus Ordo church.

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Oh, how glorious is my church– the work of human hands! How marvelous is my plan to implement reforms for the establishment of the one world church!

Yes, interreligious cooperation is required for the building of this church, which is to be ecumenical, embracing religious men from all walks of life. No more should we focus on what divides us, but instead what unites us as children of God. We are all the same.

The superstitious belief of depriving non-Catholics of spiritual communion will have to be trashed. We can only be successful in creating this one world church when all men to pray together, regardless of religious differences. Break down the prejudices of early Christian belief which divided light from darkness and darkness from light, which admonished early Christians to have no part in “sects of perdition” That has to be taught as being confined to historical circumstances, for the founders did not have a firm knowledge of the truths and goodness found in all religious tenets across from the borders of Christianity. We will have to teach those who follow us to interpret scripture this way.

In case they elect one who might deviate from this scheme of ours, it is our responsibility to make sure the teaching of collegiality be ratified. It is our desire to see this accomplished at our destined council. How we hate the idea that the Pope is the only supreme ruler in the Church! It would be better if the Pope, and the bishops in communion with him, would have supreme authority in the Church of Christ. Yes, we want our brothers, who have successfully infiltrated this institution, to have their own strength in implementing our reforms at their parishes without undue interference from the deviant who sits on the throne of Peter. The day when he is elected, he is no more helpless than a puppet emotionally controlled by us, pulled from our strings of policy in the spirit of collegiality and solidarity.

How can one man have control and responsibility over the entire church, impossible. By then, our constitution will be enshrined and destined to last until our prophesied messiah should come.

If I were an evil anti-Pope, I would want to destroy the Church.

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Instead of the anti-popes who were false claimants but believed in all Catholic teachings, I want to be an evil anti-pope who wants to destroy the Church of Christ.  This will be easy for me, since I know the majority of people will follow behind my banner of obedience, whether purposefully or unwittingly. I want to rule the Church of Christ with cunning precision, aimed toward at the destruction of doctrine and worship, and I will do it one step at a time so that it will be easy to accept. They will give themselves over to my scheme of things, whether they like it or not. It will take more than one generation to firmly establish this constitution of mine, until the master should ascend to the thrown.

Yes, I need men like agent AA-1025 and the Alta Vendita agenda to work for me. Everything will be accomplished by me or those who will succeed after me.

First, I will call a council, which will revolutionize the way the Church do things. This is the only effective means by which universal changes will be implemented. My brothers agree with me. Yes, the master plan is for the whole Church and nobody will be able to escape my clutch of total takeover in my reign as pope. I will not tolerate dissent, because it will be in my power to excommunicate those who disagree with me.

I will expand the doctrine of the Church of Christ to include all Christian denominations, yes no longer are they to be separated from this bond of my idea for the universal Church! I will make it look like it was the Church’s fault that there have been schisms and heresies in the past, because it did not compromise! Lo and behold, my coming is at hand for it is now possible! I welcome all Orthodox, schismatic and heretical sects, and all Protestants to be at the table of the Lord as Jesus Christ had wanted, “that they may be one”, this will be my call to universal brotherhood. I will inflict persecution on those who disagree with me, especially on those sects who suggest that the only possible means of communion is to accept all the doctrines of the Catholic Church. No, we do not want that, because those formulas are meaningless for us! They are to be rejected as outdated and uncharitable. The Church of Christ is no longer exclusively the Catholic Church, but that all Christian sects should have their imperfect communion with me as the head of the Church of Christ.
